Mozambicans have access to free information on Health, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, Agriculture, Environment, Disaster Risk Reduction, Nutrition, and Weather Forecast. The service will support three national languages: Changana, Macua, and Portuguese.
The 3-2-1 Service launched in Mozambique in November 2016.
The 3-2-1 Service’s use of interactive voice response technology enables the INGC to better communicate with citizens in these remote areas where the Internet is scarce and literacy is low.
HNI’s partner in Mozambique for the 3-2-1 Service is Vodacom Mozambique. Since 2003 Vodacom has offered a high quality mobile network and new communication technology services to the people of Mozambique.
Mobile phone penetration in Mozambique is more than 30 percent of the population. Vodacom Mozambique has more than 6 million subscribers, and nearly one-third of the market share.
Vodacom focuses social responsibility campaign primarily through rehabilitation and construction of schools, installation of computer rooms and distribution of textbooks and school supplies throughout the country.
